This is also known as Giving Tuesday, which takes place on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and is a day dedicated to philanthropy.

Several local charities have received a total of $110,000 in donations from Saratoga Casino. The casino has given $10,000 to each of the 11 organizations. The organizations that have received a donation are:

  • Donna M. Crandall Memorial Foundation;
  • Franklin Community Center;
  • Jake’s Help from Heaven;
  • LifePath Supportive Services for Older Adults;
  • The Joseph C. and Anne T. Palamountain Scholarship Fund;

  • Saratoga Sponsor-A-Scholar;
  • SNACpack program;
  • Wellspring;
  • Wesley Foundation.

Organizing the Make-a-Difference lunch on Giving Tuesday was an excellent choice to give back to society. The Saratoga Casino is very happy that all these organizations are contributing to something good and the casino hopes that these donations will enable the organizations to continue doing what they are doing so well for a long time.

2 months ago, the Saratoga Hotel also participated in a special “socktober” campaign in which thousands of socks were donated to various shelters for the homeless. The hotel is known for its many donations and partnerships with charities.

For example, in 16 years they have donated about $3 million to many different non-profit organizations and charities. The Make-a-Difference campaign has also been around since 2004 and has been helping local organizations for years.

Saratoga was praised by the SNACpack program coordinator for their support and donation. They work with children and others who are at risk of being hungry because of a lack of food security. When the coronavirus is plaguing the country, donations are especially important. For the next year and a half, they will be able to continue distributing food to those in need.

Recovery from pandemics

The pandemic has taken a heavy toll on Saratoga Casino Hotel as well as other gambling establishments. The hotel appeared to be on the road to recovery in recent months and particularly during the summer. More than $28 million in gross gambling revenue was generated throughout the months of July and August.
