Other places of worship, galleries, and museums that are not presently subject to the province’s proof of vaccination laws will also have the opportunity to operate at full capacity. To do so, they’ll need to enact a proof-of-vaccination requirement.
Last Thursday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced the relaxation of some of the province’s last pandemic-related safeguards. According to a government press release, the province’s war against COVID-19 has resulted in “continuous improvements to key indicators,” which has resulted in the scaling down of capacity curtailments.
It’s been a long time coming
In Ontario, there are more than 20 gambling operators, and since the spring of last year, these gaming enterprises have faced capacity limitations or closures. Between March 2020 and July 2021, all of Ontario’s gaming providers were required to stay closed during the most difficult time.
Following the province’s achievement of its vaccine objective in July, the government authorized the operators to reopen at 50% capacity as part of the province’s reopening plan’s third phase. In response to Canada’s fourth wave of COVID-19, operators were required to provide evidence of immunization on September 22.
Niagara Casinos president Richard Taylor is said to have applauded the news of the additional loosening of regulations, which was announced on Friday. He applauded the elimination of capacity limitations for operators in the province as a positive move, as well as the relaxation of social distance rules. Taylor went on to say that his organization strives to deliver the finest possible service while also safeguarding both employees and clients.

Local political leaders in Ontario have praised the relaxation of capacity restrictions and urged locals to demonstrate their support for struggling companies.
Doug Ford also outlined ideas for long-term pandemic management during his statement on Friday. “This strategy is designed for the long haul,” he remarked. It will securely steer us through the winter and out of this epidemic, avoiding lockdowns and guaranteeing that we do not lose our hard-won accomplishments.”
Proof of vaccination restrictions will begin to fade away as part of this approach in early 2022, as long as the pandemic scenario does not deteriorate. In January, gaming operators, gyms, and bars will be the first to go.
