Seashells and fish
The lesser paying symbols in the game are the 10, J, Q, K, and A card images. The value of lining up five identical symbols varies between 1x and 1.5x the stake. A red starfish, purple seashell, and green seashell are medium-paying symbols, and lining up five of the same color wins you between 2.5x and 5x your wager. The higher-paying fish are blue, yellow, and orange, and lining up five identical symbols pays between 7.5x and 20x the stake.
To capture bigger fish in Wild Depth, keep an eye out for the Bubble. This acts as the game’s Wild and appears on all reels save the first, substituting for all symbols except the clam with gigantic pearl Scatter. Wilds assist in the completion of winning paylines and come with an x2 multiplier that multiplies the combination in which they are found. When two or more wilds appear in a win, the multiplier values double.
Gameplay features
When you line up one or more wild symbols, they stay on the reels after the win thanks to the Roaming Wilds feature. On each consecutive spin, they slowly float up to the next place until they drift away. As previously stated, the Scatter comes in the form of a clam with a large pearl, and landing three of these in the regular game will launch the Extra Spins round, which includes 6, 9, or 12 extra spins.
Furthermore, hitting three or more Scatters while in the Extra Spins round will result in an immediate payout and reactivation of the feature, giving players an extra five Extra Spins. During Extra Spins, getting a Wild symbol will also cause a respin.
According to business press, Pragmatic Play’s Chief Business Development Officer, Yossi Barzely, intended to create Wild Depths “as inclusive of an experience as possible” for a range of player types as one of the company’s first releases of the year.
