Rush street gaming is applying for one of the three downstate casino licenses

Rush street gaming, already operating the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady in upstate New York, has expressed interest in acquiring one of the three downstate casino licenses so they can launch a casino near New York City.

In 2013, years ago, residents voted for the licensing of seven commercial casinos. Four of them are in the upstate area, three of them in the downstate area.
